I’ve spent my career working at the intersection of science and technology. I think about these things a lot. Some times too much. Just ask my wife, who has to put up with me starting off into space as I’m obviously not tracking the mess our children are creating. If you’re reading this blog, I assume you are at least as geeky as I am, or you’re my mom.
Currently I lead the technology team at Sage Bionetworks, a Seattle non-profit dedicated to furthering medical research through open data and collaborative data analysis. My team lead the development of Synapse, our informatics platform dedicated to researchers. Many people at work impact my thinking, but this blog contains my own thoughts and opinions.
